I recently broke my favorite vintage pocket watch, just the glass face. How would i fix this?
Question:I'm scared of being charged a fortune to just replace the glass, i'm not even quite sure of the make or the size of the watch face. Are there any great sites or resources? I will need this repaired in a week and fear i am out of luck already.
Answers:
Find a jeweler near your home - most of them can replace a watch crystal easily. Ask for an estimate up front, and if it's too much, tell them you'll need to think about it.
If you know the make of the watch and the approximate vintage (year of make), you can probably call around and ask as well. It doesn't typically cost that much to replace the crystal.
Good luck.
jewerly shop less then 50.00
A local jeweler should be able to repair it fairly quickly. It shouldn't cost too much. I had one done and it was about $12. Good luck.
