How to fix a jammed window?

can anyone tell me ways i could get it to open and close again?
i'd really appreciate any help

Use a utility knife and score around the stop, inside, if that's where you painted, or outside, if that's where you painted. I'm afraid a mechanical method is the only solution.
Get a strong concentration of isopropynol alcohol(rubbing alcohol) pour it inthe tracts. the alcohol will eat the paint and you should be able to work it open. Or if you canget some, mineral spirits, will also work.
GrayWolf is, of course correct. "bluemocha" apparently, and regardless of her totally fabricated "credentials" is trying to get you to really mess up your windows. I can't imagine what kind of thrills some of the people on FindHomeAnswers get from giving out this kind of malicious "advice" but .whatever.
Anyway, the next time you paint windows, leave or prop them open a couple of inches. You'll still need to "cut'em open" after the paint dries (to keep the paint's edge good) but it will go way easier than if they were all the way shut.
Have fun.
Go to that good looking guy next door in your sexiest little black dress and sweetly ask for his help. Voila window fixed...
Number6 is right. So is billyssexysingle. I would try again with a Flexible putt knife , carefully working around the edge. Remember the faces in the middle were the windows come together. Follow with a Stiff putty knife, applying a gentle prying force (very gentle) you are looking to hear a little pop, not a big crash. Then finally tap the top left corner of the inner window ,in a downward pop , the same on the right side ,with a hammer . Once again be gentle but firm. This works most of the time. I tried to be clear, please use common sense.
