I would like a quick fix to cool my house?

Question:I live in a townhouse that has NO insulation, right on the other side of the ceiling is outside. So needless to say, the place gets HOT during the day. I am renting, so I am wondering if anyone has any quick tips on how I can cool the place down. I already have an a/c (which doesn't help very much)... what else can I do that would be cheap and wouldn't mess up my landlords place?

Answers:
One cheap way to cool down ur house is to put a box fan in a window at one end of ur place. Make sure that it is blowing outside. then open a window at the other end of the house. the fan will draw air through the house and take it outside, while at the other end air will be pulled into the rooms causing a air flow.

.U might even put a fan in to 2 different windows at the same end of the house.. Make sure that all of the other windows are closed. I used this system for years when younger and was renting.

Ok here is something we do... Open every window possible from like 8 pm- 5 am then close them all in the morning and shut all blinds and close curtains this should keep it cooler
If you have ac already, be sure to check the coils on it and make sure that they are clean...the dirtier they are the less efficent they are. Keep your curtians closed during the day so that the windows dont magnify the heat. a fan in the room with your ac might help a bit too.
GOOD LUCK!
Maybe don't open the windows on the sunny side and close those blinds & curtains. In the morning it will be one side, evening the opposite side. might help.
If your A/C isn't cooling the room down, it is undersized. Sell (or store) it and get one with a higher cooling rating. This isn't inexpensive, but with no insulation, may be your best option other than moving. A window fan to move the hot indoor air out and the cool evening air in will help also.
