Concrete patio pad not leveled properly, how can we fix low spots?

Question:The concrete pad has two low spots, in particular in front of the door way causing water to pool and when it rains heavily, water starts to come up over the threshold. Can we level the 2 x 3 ft low spot in front of the door?

Answers:
There are many topping materials on the market that are designed to re-slope concrete. They are polymer modified cemetitious materials, and generally go down thin or you can add dry sand to some of them for thicker patches.
The main issue with these products is they don't look much like concrete and the patches will show. To hide the repairs if you decide to go this way is to clean and apply a thin slurry over the entire deck slab after you build up the low spots. Raeco 50 is one of the products that I have had great success with. It is grey and goes down easy. Good luck

They make a resurfacer that may work. It contains no rocks so can do thin applications. You would need to clean well and use a product for adhering the patch to the old concrete. I had this done to steps that had worn in the middle due to many years of use.
Hate to tell you the bad news, but here it is. If you are thinking of pouring concrete to fill the low spot over the existing concrete, you will be disappointed in the result. Concrete does not adhere well to concrete. Chances are the thin layer will spall off in short order.

You may be able to mud jack the pad up slightly at the house to force the water to drain away from the door. You would have to hire a mud jacking company to do this.

Your best fix would be to hire a contractor to saw cut the concrete that is low, remove it, and repour that area properly.
