What is an excellent product to buy for killing weeds with St. Augustine grass?
Question:Florida: I tried Scotts Weed and Feed and it turned my backyard into Hay to say the least. The grass is growing back but I am not interested in making the same mistake.

well you should have a healthy lawn or else it will spread all around the grass. sprinkle some fertilizer all over the grass so that i can be healthy and also try to water it everyday, also once a week you should cut the grass and that will help, lastly use some chemicals that don't burn grass.
Scots bonus S. You need to fertilize in weather below about 75 deg F. That is why you should apply it in March or April. If you wait too long, you end up with hay.
