Lawn mower problems with push button primer.?

Question:The primer bulb/ button will work to prime the mower and I can start it fine. Then the primer bulb will suck into the mower flat and kill the mower. I have checked the fuel line, air cleaner and choke to be sure they are clean and working. Any more ideas?

Answers:
The motor is using more fuel than being allowed to flow through the carburetor. You may check your fuel filter if you have one.

Something else you can check is the idle and run needle valve settings. If you have the needle valve open too much it will starve he motor of fuel.

The last option is how strong the primer bulb is. It may have been weakened over time because of the contact with fuel.

just use starting fuel it always works for me
There must be a vent hole near the primer bulb. Otherwise, the bulb would not return to the outward position after using. Something has clogged it up. You may need to remove the bulb to find it.
Take it to a qualified mechanic, you need a carb overhaul.
The vented gas cap may be clogged and allowing a vacuum to exist in the tank and carb, drawing the primer flat.
This is something I have seen a few times.
