Will I drain my well by running a hose for 15 minutes and then letting it rest for an hour?

Question:I need water in my pool - we have a well - before whenever I run the house the water in the house shuts off. I am afraid to dry out my well, but I just paid for water two weeks agao to top off my pool. We have had no rain. Thanks!!

There is no way of answering this question with any accuracy. As others have already stated every well is different. The only way to know for sure is to have a plumber or well service test the draw down level of the well.

This should not empty out your well the only thing maybe the pump getting hot and shuting down for a short period of time to reset itself.
it may be best to do this at night when the temps are lower outside.
no way a well holds a lot of water.
Every well is different but I seriously doubt you'll run it dry by running a hose for 15 minutes. A friend of mine waters his lawn all day and never runs it dry.
It depends on your well, who many pounds per min is your well rated? If you do have low water recoverey then the way you suggested should help!
i have had a well pump running for 2 days to fill a pool, so i doubt that you will drain the aqua-fir that you are tapped into in 15 min. if you do have a water problem you might need a deeper well...
