What can I do to make my heat pump blow cooler air?

Question:it is working but during the day it does not blow cold enough. i want to say I live in an all brick house and its extremly hot in southern Georgia, but I have been in other places and its been cool.

Answers:
I was in Augusta, this time last year and the humidity was bad. Start by getting the unit checked for proper operation, including thermostat placement, freon charge and duct obstructions.

If all is working properly, then check for places where cold air escapes and hot, humid air comes in, open windows, frequently opened doors, etc.

Try using ceiling fans and box fans to circulate the cooler air.
Hope this helps.

When was the last time you had the system inspected? An air conditioner needs routine maintenance. Think about it in these terms. If you were to drive your car the equivalent time that your AC runs in a typical summer, then you would have traveled almost 152,000 miles. You wouldn't dream of driving your car that distance without an oil change or a tune-up.

Have a qualified HVAC contractor take a look at the system. If you do not know any, then poll around to your friends or family members, see who they have used. I am not assuming that you need to buy a new one, these tips are provided to consumers so they do not get ripped off by HVAC companies - for service/maintenance or replacement.
