Front door leaks with a hard rain, Hurricanes are coming!!?

Question:My front door is hinged on the inside, I had a storm door but the last Hurricane took care of that. I cannot afford a new storm door but need to figure out how to keep the rain from hitting the door and running down the sides and floods the floor. Not much of an overhang either. Wondering if I scored the door stoop would that help, also tried weatherstripping but door would not close. Is there some type of flange I could put at the bottom to run the water away from the front of the door? HELP!!

Answers:
Try tacking a piece of heavy plastic along the bottom of the door to allow the rain to drain away from the door.

Get a new storm door. That's what they're for. It's cheaper than damage.
