My toilet makes a scream noise, does that mean it needs a new pump for it ?
Question:

That depends on alot of different factors.
If the noise is coming from the pipes inside the wall. Then you might need to get a pressure reducer for the pipes, Or they may just be moving around inside the wall because the clamps that hold them in place came loose. If it's the ball **** assembly inside of the tank. you should be able to tell just by flushing with the top of the tank off. There's really not a whole lot that can go wrong with the mechanics inside the tank. be more specific on your question.
Most toilets do not have a pump. The "scream" may be caused by water/air passing through the valve going into the tank from your water supply line. This is normal for some toilets, but if you would like it to stop, you could just replace the supply line/float valve.
Quick test to see if this is truly the issue:
1. take cover off tank
2. flush toilet
3. pull up/push down on "ball" to see if it gets louder/ quieter/stops.
no, it's just the proof that the bathroom needs cleaning, the toilet is now scared. It's trying to tell you something..
probably needs a new fill valve unless its a macerating toilet,
You'd scream too if people crapped on you all day.
