How can I keep moisture out of my air condition ducts?

Question:I have a ranch home with central air conditioning and had to replace the main AC ducts in the attic because of water in the ducts.

Answers:
All air conditioning ducts that run through an "unconditioned area" must be insulated. What your getting is condensation, and if not corrected could eventually lead to a black mold situation.
If your AC contractor didn't insulate or advise you of this problem, he's not qualified to be in that line of work.
If the attic is insulated, that doesn't count towards protection against condensation, the ducts themselves have to be wrapped, totaly.
