Sorry! Cracks in walls, doors left open start closing by themselves, placing a level on the floor in different parts of the house and seeing if the whole thing is listing in one direction.
Beach houses don't sink unless the pilings were not put in correctly in the first place. If you suspect this you should have a home inspector check it out. The builder should be liable.
