Why is the jet pressure on my pool unusually weak?

Question:I've just opened my above ground pool last week and set up my cartridge filter. I've cleaned everything in the filter and the jet pressure going back into the pool is unusually weak. I've checked for any blockage or leak, but there isn't any. It's made it very hard to vacuum my pool with the weak pressure. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening?

Answers:
Sometimes this can be caused by air being sucked into the system. Even the tiniest of holes somewhere before the pump outlet (including the pump housing) that draws air can keep the pump from working at normal pressure. This is what I would be looking for first. Good luck.
