Can anyone out there tell me how to get permanent black marker off a white door? Thank you.?

A little dab of Acetate, which is used as an ingredient in most bottles of NAIL POLISH REMOVER, just MAY do the job.
I've used it on a white, enamel aluminum bulletin board with success.
But my guess is IF the surface of the door is NOT enameled coated, but rather a wooden/ PAINTED door, one must proceed with CAUTION as the nail polish remover may damage or DULL THE COLORING of that surface.
In lieu of this, you may want to consider trying A SAMPLE/TEST PATCH with some nail polish remover IN A LESS NOTICEABLE PLACE would be worth a try, in order to check if there is any discoloration or damage to the white paint FIRST.
If you decide to give this a try, remember LESS, IS MORE! JUST A DAB WILL DO! By moistening a clean soft cloth or Q-tip and dabbing a little on the black marker surface and with a little circular motion, it should loosen up the ink at which point, using a gentle touch TO BLOT, using ANOTHER clean soft cloth or Q-tip, it MAY wipe/clean it off.
I'm sure there are lots of other products out there to consider. Hope this helps.
sand it and repaint.
the best way ever
You may be able to get some of it off with a solvent such as alcohol or acetone, but you will probably have to re-finish the door.
try mr clean eraser's they take almost everything off also try mr bubbles scrubby bubbles they also help good luck
Get white paint and paint over it until it isn't visible.
Lacquer thinner, alcohol, or acetone work well. I am assuming that the door is metal, if it is not, you may have to repaint. Give these a try first though. I work with metal everyday, that's what we use to take the writing off.
I have a little artist who thinks that walls and doors are but empty canvases to draw, paint etc...lol...
I have had a lot of success with the m.r .clean magic eraser, but I admit there are some things that don't come off all the way, depending on the surface, so unfortunately there may be a chance that you may have to sand and re-paint it.
But it's worth a shot, and less expensive than painting.
Hope this helps....Good Luck!
Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. If that doesn't work, prime and paint.
Try W-D 40 sence it is oil based and the ink in a marker is the same oil cuts oil
Prime first, if you don`t the color will bleed through. then paint.
Lacquer thinner or paint thinner are two things you can try but there are no promises that this will not hurt the paint on the door. If this does not work re-paint the door with an oil base paint then a latex paint for the final coat
Try gently rubbing it with toothpaste on a soft cloth.
