How do I treat and stain my deck? also how hard is it? and does anyone know how to replace broken spindles?

Question:I have a small deck that is about 10yrs old that needs to be cleaned and stained. Can anyone tell me how to do it, let level of diffuicllty and if I should have it done proficially or not. also I have spindles that are broken how do I replace them

Answers:
First, make sure it's clean. Use a power washer with a medium spray pressure setting so it doesn't gouge holes in the wood. Then let dry and use a product called Cuprinol. You can buy it at any good hardware store. Apply with a paintbrush and let dry for an hour or so.

I just re read your question...Cuprinol is a preservative and actually brings out the woods own color...
