Fridge is on the fritz. Won't cool food inside, blows air, but not cooling. Has a clicking sound as well.

Question:

Answers:
Time for a new compressor.

If it`s under warranty, definitely call the repair man. If it`s not but isn`t old enough to scrap, you may have to call him anyway. If it`s 10 or more years old, just replace it.
Refrigerators have a timer that causes them to cool for a period of time and then defrost for a period of time. That clicking sound may indicate a bad timer. But you'll probably need a repairman to know for sure.
Defrost timer could be stuck you can advance by hand, most are located below freezer door just above floor level. Also try unpluging for overnight leave door,s open and completly defrost. In case defrost thermostat deficative. If so they are cheap to replace.
Clicking sounds like a failed relay. Most are unserviceable. The money spent on diagnoses or temporary repair, might be better served buying a new one.
A clicking sound means the compressor is trying to start and then the overload protector shuts off the power to the compressor. Most likely the compressor itself is bad but also it could be a bad start relay (especially if the fridge is less then 7 years old and made by Whirlpool or Maytag) If your fridge is less then 5 years old the compressor should be under manufacturer warranty (but not the start relay). If it is more then 5 years old you have to decide if it worse the repair. Usually the cost to replace the compressor runs between $500.00 to $700.00 depend of the size of the fridge and honesty of the repair man.

Sounds like it's time for a new fridge. Newer models will also save you a lot of money on your electric bill.
If turning the thermostat does not produce cooling then assume refrigerant is low, the clicking sound may be the compressor trying to restart, if the fridge is 10 years old. consider replacing it.
