What can I use instead of oil?

Question:I have this hair trimmer and once in a while I'll pour on a lil bit of the oil container which it came with, but now I ran out of it so does anyone else know what else I use on electronic devices that can work as oil?

Answers:
for temporary use. use baby oil. at least it smell nicer than any other oils

Oil is the best to use. In a pinch, you could use WD-40, but it is not good as it will evaporate and leave a sticky residue. Tri-flow oil, sold in bicycle shops, is a good lubricant and has Teflon it it.

Best bet is go to a hardware store or even walmart and get a small container of oil, such as sewing machine oil.
3-in-1 Machine oil!
Comes in a bright red and white squirt can.
Wal Mart, sewing machine centers, etc.
you can buy a bottle of oil for trimmers in most beauty supply stores or i think maybe walmart carries it. you can certainly get it online. pat
Try using a light machine oil. This can be found at any hardware store. good luck.
Use a very light machine oil. You can buy it at Wal-Mart, in the meantime, WD-40 is not oil but a cleaner, it was never meant as an oil, it will damage your machine if you use it for oil. It can be used as a penetrating "oil" or better, an "agent" not oil.
Go to sally beauty supply. it's cheaper that wal-mart, and you'll get top quality in bulk so you'll be able to oil your clippers before and after every use, like you're supposed to, I've had the same wahl clippers 4 years, haven't needed a new blade yet.
