Dirt Devil hoovers?

Question:I have a dirt devil dd2419 hoover. It is only 1 year old. the problem with it is that from the cylinder without the hose it sucks up. When the hose is attached it sucks up but dosn't go into the bag? Also the back of the hoover feels really hot, with hot air coming out of it. The hose is not blocked. Any ideas what is wrong with it?

You have something stuck somewhere, put in a new bag, and check for something stuck. Might want to check the belt.
