I would call an exterminator. You want to find out where they're coming from and block the entrance way. Using rat poison may kill them, but you want to solve the problem and completely get rid of them and an exterminator should be able to help with that.
Use Havoc Rat & Mouse Repellent. You can find it at your local feed store, ot you can order it online
http://www.hardwareandtools.com/invt/534... This stuff is great! The critters eat it then leave in search of water, keeping them from dieing under your house.
Get a professional exterminator to get rid of the present infestation.
Clean up your property by removing all exterior food and water sources.
clear out the nests- dry out the area of moisture- sprinkle the entire area with fresh unbrewed coffee grounds- install lattice work or some other breathable barrier to prevent them from going under there again.
Do this ALL with a face mask and heavy duty gloves. throw all away after completion.
Do NOT use poisons- any child or domestic animal would eat it and die.
A couple of real hungry cats will do it best. And for free!
