What is the best thing to use to get smoke residue off of car windows?

Try alcohol. It works well on mirrors and windows at my home. I smoked for a lot of years. When I quit, I used alcohol to remove the smoke residue. It worked for me.


Vinegar works well and the smell will fade after a few hours.
It will come off in layers. Use Windex 2-3 times
sprayway glass cleaner. i get it at the local auto parts or hardware store. it is the best thing for car windows since it doesn't contain ammonia which is what causes fogging to occur on your windshield. good luck, i know this works.
Scrub with 1 part sudsy ammonia to 10 parts water then windex.
Cheap and works great.
