Shout we have our septic tank pamped before we move ?

Question:

Answers:
It would a nice thing to do.

when was the last time you had someone come out to check up on the septic system? If you haven't noticed any problems with it, and it hasn't been too long since it was last pumped then I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I can't see why, unless it is overflowing, its not your problem.
It would be a nice thing to do, but I'd say just have the tank checked. Because, if it doesn't need to be pumped, it makes no sense to have it done. Proper maintenance done on a septic should allow it to rarely if ever need to be pumped.

However, having it checked every now and again, is probably wise.
Check with your local building inspector. Some states require that the tank be inspected before you can sale. Your state laws will depend on weather the the person who is selling or the buyer has to pay for this. Either way it doesn't cost much. Check on this and if the buyer is responsible then don't worry about it.
If you have sold your home, I believe that it is something that has to be done along with filling up your Propane tank etc. check with your lawyer if this is the case. If you are renting I doubt it is necessary but would be nice of you..
No, but you should have the one in your new house pumped out.
