thats sounds more expensive to me like a really high electric bill, i found my airconditioner on ebay for like 80.00. good deal.!! its new and it works great. if your talking about a central air unit i would shop around for repair places that can get u a deal. good luck w/ that.

no, because the refrigerator heats up your house,
feel the back of your fridge after its been running for a while and you'll notice its warm.
This is why air conditioners are mounted in windows, they blow the hot air outside so that only the cold air enters your house. I could explain all the thermodynamics of how an a/c or refridgerator works, but the bottom line is a running refridgerator will make your house hotter, even if it is left open.
