How do I replace the screening in a screen door?

Question:The door is old and the frame has to be taken apart to replace. I know how to replace screening, I'm just not sure how to take the frame apart without breaking it.

Answers:
That's why they have Home Depot and Lowe's. Go to the screen section and ask them. They will recommend the kit and give you advice. It is simple when you get the right tools.

If the frame is coming apart at the joints, its because the wood has dried out and shrunk over the years. There's special wood swelling glue you could buy, or (my favorite) lay the door in the yard and soak it with the hose. You'll be surprised at how tight the joints get.
