My food keeps going bad!? What's wrong with the fridge?

Question:I don't understand why the food in my fridge keeps going bad. It seems obvious that it's not cold enough, but the cans of coke are always frozen, so why does the chicken go bad (left in there only 2 days)?? Also milk seems to expire before it's time. Any ideas on this one?

Answers:
My guess is that somebody is standing there with the door open for extended periods of time.

Do you ever pull your fridge out and clean underneath and vacuum behind it? If not, I'd start there and see if there is an improvement. (be sure to unplug it first) Your fridge's thermostat might also be on the fritz.
Try cleaning the coils on the back of your fridge - just wipe them down with soapy water. It sounds like your cold in not being equally distributed.
You already have some good suggestions. In addition I recommend you buy a thermometer that you put inside the refrigerator. They are not expensive and will give you the temperature readings.
Be care-full as to what stuff you put in the door shelves. That part of the appliance is never as cold as the shelves.
