Rare-Earth Magnets and Hard water?
Question:A guy at work told me that he had a problem with hard water at his house which is the same problem we have. Also in both of our houses there is not enough room to have a water softener.
The guy at work was reading about if you put Rare-Earth Magnets around your water intake then the Magnets do something to the water and the iron in the water so that the water is no where near as hard.
Is this true? Or is this a Myth?.
The guy at work said that he did this and it took a month to notice it, and after the month they didn't have to clean their shower because there was no hard water scum and they haven't had to clean it for a year now.
Answers:
It is BOGUS
Many people claim they work but the science doesn't back it. If ANY molecular change occurs it is quickly gone with in seconds of leaving the magnetic field. Maybe if every inch of the pipe had the magnets on it..then maybe. Also, what does the Rare Earth part have to do with the science...a magnetic field is a magnetic field.don waste your time and money
