Electricity?
Question:last summer we noticed that 3 air conditioners were causing our electricity bill to be outragously high. it's just as hot (if not hotter) now and its only spring. our electricity bill is not as high now, but we have no ACs on. is there something wrong with our houses wiring or something?

It could be that you have an open neutral in your home. If you have had a problem with flickering lights or light bulbs burning out too soon, I would have an electrician check it out. An open neutral will make your electric bill high and may cause a fire. Get it checked.
Many things can affect the total bill, so you will have to look closer at it. How many KWH did you use then vs now? Vs last year?
Last month, I used fewer KWH than 1 year ago, but my bill was higher. The reason is, my power company is charging more per KWH and the fuel costs per KHW are higher also. Fuel costs now, vs a few months ago have gone way up.
Also, I have other things on one bill that drive up the total bottom line. My power company also charges me for water, waste water and garbage, and all three of them have gone up also, making my final bill higher.
Another thing I noticed was you stated 3 A/C units. Are these window units? Are they 110 volts or 220 volts? If they are window units, they use too much power. If they are 110, they work harder than 220 volt units and use more power. If any of this is the case, look at replacing them with a central system. Some utility companies will even offer hugh rebates to replace A/C units with more efficient units.

There is nothing in your homes wiring that will make your electric bills any higher besides your appliances , to save on bills you should try to buy energy star appliances and compact flu. bulbs which save alot of money and you have to keep in mind that most electric company's raise there prices in the summer due to the increase in use , keep an eye on your cost per kilowatt in the summer and check it in the winter
i have seen this often since i do appliance repair your ac units need to be taken apart and cleaned all of the coils are probaly clogged with linty and dirt i just cleaned mine out and it runs a whole lot better
