Sudden water leak, help!?

Question:I noticed sudden leaking from a water pipe in my basement ceiling, nobody is using water in the house. I suspect it's related to the water heater but the water that came out is cold. What could be causing this?

Answers:
trace the water to see where it is coming from its ether a split in the pipe or a valve leaking find it than turn the water off and repair the leak

It may just be condensation, wipe the water away and insulate your pipes
Hard to say for sure, you need to look for where the water is coming from. You could have gotten a leak at a joint, or many other things. I would suspect the water heater as the cause for this problem last.
