Are the fumes from a chimney sweep harmful?

Question:My chimneys getting done and im worried about the fumes with my son.

Answers:
They usually have a vacuum to collect the debris that is dislodged by the broom.

There should be no fumes to worry about. If it makes you more comfortable you may want to place your child in an other room while they're doing their work.

of course all those fumes are harmful, just as are the dusts they create cleaning the chimneys.
have them seal off the opening and vacuum out the debris with the vacuum outdoors and use a long hose to run through the home AND DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD BREATH IN THE FUMES OR DUST THAT MAY BE CREATED BY THE CLEANING...place the child else-ware...it'll take about 1-2 hours to do the job thoroughly.
