Water pressure problem?

Question:I have owned my own home for 5 years now and just recently I have noticed my water pressure has changed. The water is very strong and forceful the first couple of seconds when I turn the faucet on, then it returns to regular pressure. It occurs with all of the faucets in the house, including the shower. It also does not matter if I turn the water on slowly or fast. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Answers:
Well first of all it makes a difference if you are on city water or have your own system.
But I might be inclined to check the pressure regulator if you have one.
Or if you have your own pump system perhaps the impeller on the pump is getting worn.
Filter getting plugged.
Aerators on your sinks getting plugged up.

This sounds like a filter plugged. Possibly if you have city water someone may have left the valve to the house part way open, or the pipe coming into the house is getting plugged.
