Why does my weedeater stall when to much air is given?

Question:it is a 4 cycle ryobi.. its starts and runs with choke on and in start mode but once i put it in run it stalls out.. after looking at it, it stalls when to much air is sucked in.. why is this and do i have to take it in to the shop..

Answers:
Once you get it started, turn the choke off. If this problem persists, your fuel filter is clogged and not letting in enough gas.

too much air = not enough fuel
