What is the best way to heat and cool my garage?

Question:just run a vent from main unit in there or a seperate unit?

Answers:
Is it even insulated?

I would probably just use a separate unit. Your main unit is only good for so many cubic feet and by adding a new room, you may exceed that - nothing will cool right and you'll cause too much wear on your unit. Your existing unit may be enough to push another room, but it's highly unlikely that it will push another one that size.

If the garage is being used for as a garage, you must use a separate heating/cooling unit. Do not make holes of any type through to the house. This is a health and fire hazzard.
purchase a thru-wall heat pump and install it mine works great in a sun room application it should work as good in a garage
