I flpped breaker switch for a room and now not working?
Question:I turned off the power to my daughters room and bathroom to flush her out of her room when she locked me out. I flipped the breaker switch back on but the power in those rooms are not coming on. I tried to flip the main breaker switch for the whole house and everything but those two rooms are working fine. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to fix or what could be wrong?
Answers:
I would say that your breaker went bad. Breakers are cheap. You have to buy the right one, though. (GE breakers are not the same as Siemens, etc). Make sure that you buy the right brand and the identical size (more than likely 15Amp or 20Amp for room wiring). The breaker will cost you under $10 - available at Home Depot or Lowe's.
Hope this helps!
it may be that you need to push breaker all the way off then back on
try flipping the breaker firmly off then back on. it may need to be replaced. breakers usually work fine untill theyre tripped and old.
Is there a GFI outlet in the bathroom? If yes, then maybe it needs reset too.
breaker in the panel went bad flip a few more times to verify there is a chance it will catch and turn on
