How much would it cost aprox. to add a breaker to my home?

Question:I need to dedicate a outlet to it's own circuit. I have extra panels on my electrical box and would like to add another breaker. How much is this going to cost? Anyone?

Answers:
depends
are you doing this yourself
electrician will hit you for $100 to $200 depending on how far the receptacle is
breaker--$10 max
romex--$1 per foot //small amounts
receptacle ,,box,,cover--$5

He's right if it a short way to the outlet you might get away with only getting charge for an hour. doing it your self will definitely be cheap in the short, but if you run into a problem or need a tool to get up a wall if might be more cost effective to just call someone. One more thing most electrical contractors will do the work if you want to pick up the parts and have them ready.
