Are you sure you have the wires connected to the right screws? I have seen mistakes made once or twice.
{Of course none of those mistakes were made by me.}

Probably a couple of the wires are not connected properly. Find model no. on the AC, go to the website for that company, hopefully you will find a company that will have the dwg. on line if not maybe they will have a company Rep. you can talk to. If not go to some of the AC forums and place a request for a dwg. Hopefully you received a diagram with the thermostat. If not you will have to get the dia. also.
Make sure you have a jumper between the RH and RT screws .
How do you have it wired?
Read the instructions again. Call Honeywell or go on their website. No Luck ? Call a heating and air conditioner repair man, there might be something wrong with your air conditioner
not the thermostat.
green wire is typically for indoor fan, BUT, if fan is coming on for heat and not ac, well, your t-stat probably is a universal one and you may need to wire t-stat accordingly. i'm thinking it may be for 2 stage cooling and if you dont have 2 stage cooling may need to jumer those poles together. GL with it!
uh oh, it could also be a faulty tstat. green is to fan red is hot white is heat yellow is ac contactor.
If you do not have that jumper between RH and RT or RC, It will only work on heat or only on cool. Not both. Read instructions on t-stat. And yes you can bypass t-stat. For 4 wire systems, red, green and blue or yellow will turn on your a/c. Connect red and white to activare your furnace. I do this to check thermostat from time to time.Warning bypassing t-stat will make unit run all the time. The thermostat is the switch that turns unit off and on. Good luck.
