Any comments on metal roofing- good, bad, whatever?
Question:Does moss grow on them like composit? Are they durable enough to walk on once in awhile? ...

Initial they are more expensive. But you will never need to replace it, if it is properly installed. Most people here in Vermont have metal including myself. The reason I have metal is we get SO much snow. With metal the snow slides off and I don't have to shovel the roof. I don't get mold and I can walk on my roof. Also the wind don't pull up small sections like shingles.
I would have metal roof before shingle because its much better quality i think an also I like the sound of a metal roof when it rains. It helps u sleep much better if u like to listen to the rain hittin on it..it also lasts alot longer to. My exhusband does roofing of all types an he says metal is better also.an no moss does not grow on metal roof.
