How do i unclog my sink garbage disposal?

I'm assuming the grinder is stuck. To fix this, take a hex head allen wrench and look underneath the disposer. There should be a hole that the wrench fits in. Use that to go back and forth to unstick the grinder. Hit the reset button on the bottom of the grinder and turn the switch back on. The disposer should work at this point.
Close the breaker to the kitchen look under the sink you will see a canister directly under the drain mine is black depending on the brand it might have flip open tabs or screws open the tabs or unscrew the screws mine has a compartment designed for removing clogs yours might not you might have to take the whole canister down giving you axcess to the grinding area remove all waste and put it back together.
fidel has one way. I just turn the disposal off and use a broom stick to turn the impeller. A tray of ice cubes finishes everything.
I depends on if it the plumbing is clogged or the disposal is bound up.
If bound up then try to unbind it by those other suggestions, if clogged up you will have to take the trap off of the drain and clear it.
If the blades aren't moving try hitting it a few times with a broom handle. Also check the breaker. If it's just clogged get a heavy duty plunger (the kind that gets smaller in the middle to fit well in the hole) and plunge it a few times. That worked for me. If it doesn't work you may have to open the pipes and clear the clog.
