Washing machine help, any plumbers out there?

Question:are the hoses at the back of a washing machine a standard length or do they vary depending on manufacturer? if they are not long enough to reach the outlet pipes is it possible to buy an extension hose? thanks

Answers:
The fixing is universal. You can either buy longer hoses or extensions and joining pieces. Hardware stores like B&Q or Homebase. That is for the water inlet pipes. The drain hose is not separable from the machine so an extension would be required. You might need to cut the curved end piece off before making the join. The extension should have a new curved end

B&Q does different lengths best to go for longer hose than add ons.
Not a plumber but a women that uses a washer. You can get different lengths and I would suggest the metal ones. The rubber ones need to be replaced every couple of years. Ever see one burst? Not a pretty sight. Go to Home Depot or maybe even a plumbers supply.
you can buy longer pipes try b and Q or local plumbing shop
buy a 3/4 bsp connector and add 2 pipes together,
you should be able to get em a little longer, go to lowes or home depot...you can always modify a garden hose if you need to..depending on your abiltys with tools..
now to be honest I have never been a plumber, I have fixed a toilet or two and my pants do fall down when I bend over , not sure if that qualifys me to anwser this or not.
peace
They are a standard length usually, which will reach from beside the tub to the taps, with a bit to spare. If your machine is to far away, you can get extensions and fittings from either plumbing supplies or hardware stores.
you can buy them 3m long B&Q plus you can get jointing peices good luck
buy a hose the same size & plus peice of plastic hard round peice plus 2 clamps feed the hard plastic inside the other hoses place clamp over each peice of pipe you have joined or should i say pushed over the hard plastic then tighten clamps .
you can buy an extenuation kit from a repairer outlet, but be warned this does put extra strain on the pump, and will cause the pump to fail at some stage, better still if you can modify your waste system
Yes you can buy longer hoses, dont extend the original hose because theres a risk of leaks.
