How do you replace cord on an outdoor umbrella?

Question:there seems to be no screw or opening to get to to replace cord. have any of you had this problem? how did you replace? hate to have to buy a new umbrella, this one is perfectly good, except that it's very tight to open and close. thanks for any help and suggestions.

It mainly has to do with manufacture model if you can replace it or not. However many brands and models can be replaced.
Google your make and model to find the manufacture web site and find the replacement kit. Generally, all replacement kits comes with easy to follow instructions.
