Question:how much the average is for electric/gas for an apartment? would i just call the electric company or is there a site i can go to. thanks in advance.

You should be able to get usage history from the utility if you know the address, apt. #, etc.
You can call the power company for it and they will give you the average bill.
For just electric/gas, I'd say around $75 a month.
And the best sources are usually whoever is leasing that apartment, because there are so many variables such as insulation, age/efficiency of the utilities, types of power, etc.
Ask the apartment manager for electric/gas bills of similar units that are occupied. Get several months as usage usually varies.
If its a divided house ask for the same while it was occupied.
If you know your usage then you can contact the elec. co. for rates.
