well you need to buy quality...those cheap chinese units dont hold up..the cheap units dont cut it...go to sears and get whirlpool window units...these will hold up best...get the extented warranty

I would say just get an actual AC... Im in the heating and air field and am a one year student right now. All i can say is that yea it may not be cheap but it beats sweating like heck with just a window mounted unit.
