Where is the reset button located on the central air unit?

Question:

Answers:
-There is no reset button as such. There are circuit breakers and/or fuses. The main circuit breaker for the condensing unit (outdoors) will be in your circuit breaker panel in the house or in a panel directly under your meter. In addition there should be a disconnect box within sight or reach of the condensing unit and it may have either fuses or breakers. The breaker for the indoor unit should be in the panel in the house. If the breaker is tripped it will feel like a loose tooth. It will wobble. If you reset it and it pops back off at once, then you have a short to ground. That usually means a shorted compressor or fan motor in the condensing unit or a shorted motor in the air handler (indoors). If it does not trip immediately but trips after 15 to 30 seconds or so, it usually means the compressor or either fan motor is failing to start. If it starts up and runs o.k. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it makes a habit of tripping (more than twice) you need to get someone to look at it. I hope this helps you out.

I don't think that there is one on the unit itself. There are electrical breakers in the panel but not on the a/c units.
