Why does my apartment only have power for the ceiling fan and light but none of the power outlets?
Question:I woke up this morning to find my alarm clock not working. I checked the rest of my stuff that was plugged into a wall and none of them work either. The only thing recieving power in my apartment is my ceiling fan and light that is attatched to it. i live with 3 other roomates but they are out of town and my room seems to be the only one not recieving power from the power outlets. All the outlets in the common area of the apartment do put power out though. I'm not sure if the apartment complex turned off some of my power or not. Any insight on this would help a lot. thanks.

check fuse panel
Sounds like a breaker is tripped. Check the fuse box/breaker box...
reset your breaker. Turn it off for a few minutes and put it back on. Everything should be ok then.
check your breakers. you may have one tripped. if you have a GFI receptacle you may also want to check that. They will have a reset usually in the center of the receptacle
maybe there was some work done to it at some time and they killed a wire leading to your outlets.
