Go to following site www.searstractor.com/resources...
find out who makes your tractor then when shopping for the diff. you will have more choices...
If you have average do it yourself skills, sears has the parts at their online store at www3.sears.com. Check all the mounting brackets/bolts, drive system to determine the cause then, using the machines model number, look up the part. They have the owners manual/repair manuals on line also. Good luck!
I would recommend replacing the entire tranny. A small engine shop that is abundant with these parts would probably sale one for around $100.00 and it's cheaper than buying a new one.
Since you are using this machine for commercial purposes, you should take it to a qualified mechanic and get the differential repalced with a new one. It would be the most cost-effective solution in the long run because it will reduce your down time to a minimum and the new differential will last longer than a patch job, saving you from more down time in the near future.
peerless? I heard about a recall on peerless transaxles a while back, they would crack. check with sears on it and you might get it replaced for nothing.
Otherwise these things run around $150 new.
