Building work (Yawn) fitting a built-in cavity meter box... Who does it? And, how much does it cost?

Question:It's seems I can get one from Jewson or the Plumb centre, but who and how do I get it fitted?

Answers:
a bricklayer, expect them to charge £60.

It depends on where your gas pipe is at the minute, if you dont have one yet then a brickie can fit it, if you have a meter in place, then providing the meter and pipework are in the right place, (or at least the pipe coming into the house), then a corgi engineer with the meter element (on the back of the corgi reg card), if inlet pipe needs moving, you need to contact the gas supplier. All this of course is providing the box is for gas and not electric or water.!
