I hit somebody's mailbox and need to replace it cheep, what's the best way?

Question:It was on a metal post, the post is fine, but the box is demolished. Can I attach a new box to the post? Where is the best place to get a new standard black mailbox? How much is the least this can cost?

Answers:
You did the damage and should pay for it. Have the owners select the replacement themselves and YOU Pay for it. Either install it yourself (if you know how) or have them hire someone and you can pay again.

Don't think cheap. Mail boxes are not expensive anyway.

you don't replace something you broke with something "cheap". What kind of crap is that? You replace the object which YOU broke with something that is comparable and agreeable to the owner. That kind of thinking is a part of a bigger problem we are experiencing in todays world. Next time someone hits your "Mercedes", I hope you are only compensated for a "Yugo", speaking figuratively of course.
Go to Odd Lots/ Big Lots! They always have the cheapest stuff!
Good Luck!
