Freezer works, refrigerator does not?
Question:Fridge is an Amana french door/bottom freezer, two years old.
Freezer works, but no cold air is getting to the refrigerator compartment.
I put it in diagnostic mode and ran all six service tests. Condenser fan and evaporator fan both work. Fresh food thermostat and freezer thermostat both work. Damper is functioning normally. The only thing that came up bad was the defrost thermostat/circuit test, which indicates a short.
Based on what I've read, my best guess is that I've got a bad capacitor and/or relay. Am I right?

I just went through this with a matag side by side. The circuit board that operated the auto defrost/thermostat was bad. Parts and labor, plus a switch for the ice dispenser, was $185.
It is probably that the fan is not working, it could be a sensor, switch, circuit board, or the fan itself. A pro can tell you.
