Has your watch ever steamed up or got condensation inside?
Question:If so, i am an apprecntice watch technician and am doing a study on water resistance in watches.
I am finding it difficult to find people to fill in my questionnaire.
If you would take the time to fill it in (it's not too long winded!), then please contact me and i will mail it onto you.
Many thanks
Matt

YES! I have an ESQ.After several years I had to get the crystal replaced. Obviously they didn't do it right because if it gets wet I will get a little water inside. It still works so I haven't worried about it. It is my everyday watch. I need the crystal replaced again because I have scratched it up yet again...Plus the water thing. I just hate to not have it for 2 weeks.
no only cheap 1 do that
yes i know what you mean i have a pulsar and it is now doing that it is 6 years old but cost 300 pounds, so i will answer one
Matt,
I have had a few watches in my time do exactly what you suggest, steam up, and they were not cheap. One in particular that I used to wear when I gardened was from L.L. Bean, quite expensive, but it just wore out. I had it forever, replaced the leather ban several times, and finally, it just gave out. I wore it cleaning the pool, putting my arm into the water, really gave it a workout. It was waterproof, but too much service after a while for it to last forever. Believe it or not, I called L.L. Bean and they replaced it! Darn thing was probably 10 years old!
Had another one, with a Mickey Mouse character on it. It was a fun watch, but it cracked, didn't replace the crystal, and it steamed up. My bad on that particular watch.
Now, I just don't wear one gardening and pool cleaning. My favorite is my Mavado which is my treasure. Have had that one for almost 20 years. Have to take it to a jeweler that specializes in the brand to change the battery.
