What is the best way to cover a crack in a huge mirror?

Question:I'm trying to sell my house and now (just happened) my 6 X 4 foot long mirror has a big crack in it. The crack is from the bottom to more than half way up and it is curved not straight. If we cut the mirror straight, we will loose about 2.5 feet of it and we would need to paint the room again.

Any suggestions?

Answers:
Cut horizontally along the mid portion of the mirror to remove the area with the crack. Then use decorative molding to frame the remaining portion. Repaint the exposed wall.

Cut the glass and paint that section only the paint should match perfect.
Quality looks is better than hiding it.
You cannot cover up a crack. If you cut the mirror, chances are it won't be centered on the wall, and would look out of place. If it were me, I'd remove the entire mirror, and paint the wall.
You could find someone to cut a piece of stained glass to make it look decorative. You could also add a couple more pieces to make it look like it was meant. Another idea would be to buy small glass squares and attach them down the crack. Glue will hold it on. Good luck
How about forgetting fixing the mirror and just replacing it with an art-object like a quilt or anything that looks good and is the size (or greater) of the mirror?
Too bad about your mirror. You should have it cut for use at your new residence if cost effective.
