I am disconnecting my gas fireplace how do i check for leaks?

Question:

Answers:
Put a little dish washing liquid in a spray bottle and fill with water. Then spray the connections and all lines. If you have a leak then you will see bubbles.

after removing the gas line plug it with a pipe plug making sure u use some Teflon tape or other type of sealer Than use a soapy water around the threads where the plug is if u see bubbles u have a leak
Get a plumber with a combustible leak detector, similar to the ones used by the gas company. Don't risk the lives of your family or yourself, call a trained professional. He is licensed and insured, so that you can rest assured there are no leaks! Good luck!
