If I use the wrong spark plug in riding mower can it ruin the motor? It ran rough before and then I put new in

Question:and now it won't do anything and I can't get these back out. HELP

Answers:
You have what is a long shank and a short shank plug. If you put a long plug in and your piston slams up against it ;It could cause damage.
Now as for running, it there is clearance regardless what plug you put it in a lawn mower it will run on most.

I think the spark plug is a resistor, so different ones will hav a different value; hence, some plugs will be hotter than others. Could burn Piston, maybe cause pitting, or if it were hot enough I imagine it might even burn a hole right through the top of the piston - not sure on this one though.
If you cannot get it out you may have cross-threaded the head, and ruined the threads. You will have to rethread the head most likely, but if you cannot get it out you may have to grab another head- then you'll be able to look at the piston to see what effect it had. however, if you cannot get it out maybe it never was in far enough and that is th reason it is not even running - the equivelent of missing.
